Maldives conducts under sea cabinet meeting
A study by a British independent agency has predicted that the entire group of Maldive islands could sink under the sea by the year 2100, only due to the rising sea water levels. The global warming is resulting in big increase in the sea water levels, and already Maldives has lost few of the border villages due to it.
Now the Maldives government has gone to the extent of holding the first under sea cabinet meeting yesterday, to highlight the ill effects of global warming. The message is loud and clear. The human community is heading for a big disaster in the coming decades, if global warming is not addressed quickly and effectively.
There was another report yesterday which said that in the coming years, the Arctic Sea could be without ice during summer months.
