Obama to send more US troops to Afghanistan

Obama vowed to pull back the US troops from Iraq and Afghanistan during the elections in 2008 end, and he is just going to do the opposite this week. He has approved the deployment of additional US troops in Afghanistan in order to avoid a disastrous end to the long drawn war on terror.
The quantum of the additional troops will be decided by him in a day or two , and official announcement will be made thereafter. That spells more trouble for Obama because this may be an added reason for the US people losing faith in him. But from sheet US long term interests point of view, Obama has to follow George Bush.
