Dell buys an online storage maker
The world’s largest personal computer maker Dell Inc has come into agreement to buy 3Par. 3Par is a storage data maker which has been bought by Dell for $1.15 billion. Dell has bought 3Par to gain growth in the corporate Data center for its business. 3par equipment is based from Fremont from California which makes software products.
3Par even makes software and hardware equipments which reduces the information storage requirements. Dell is under the pressure to compete with other companies like Hewlett-Packard and IBM.The competition is based on making complex computers and services which gain high profit. The market for complex computers which gains more oprofit than that of computer desktop and laptop.
The data center will be doubled as Dell plans to during the month of June. Last month Dell was in a idea to buy storage company Ocarina Networks for a unknown price. Dell has even agreed to acquire server computer Scalent Systems during the month of June. In 2007 Dell acquired Equal logic for $1.4 billion which is a storage company.
