The unexpected move by the US FED last week of increasing the discount rate has taken the market by surprise. The unexpected move in fact pulled down the entire global market for few days but later on the world seems to be realizing that the move is rather a positive indication.
The move is an indication that the US FED is more confident of a steady recovery in the US economy in the coming months. That is good news for the entire world, because every other country in the world depends on US economy to a major extent.
And the mortgage rates are expected to remain at the current levels for some more time as the US FED has not touched the US FED rate.
