Leaving your children behind

If we have children at home, it is very important that we take enough efforts for their safety. Particularly, if both the parents are working and the children are likely to be left unattended, then parents should make sure that the children are safe and they are not exposed to danger.

The gas pipes should be locked when you go out leaving the children behind. The stove should be placed on a high rise platform. The knives and sharp object should be placed inside cupboards and should not be accessible to the children. Dangerous tools like circular saw blade, nails etc should be kept out of reach of children. Poisonous articles like pesticides etc should be kept under lock. Electrical gadgets like the iron box should not be kept connected to the plug holders.

The electric wiring should be done with shock proof wires and switches. As much as possible, children should be encouraged to play outside the house in the playground or inside the compound like the car park area etc. If you have appointed a baby sitter, then you should ensure that the person does not ignore the children and gets tied up in her own work. You should call the children and find out their safety.
