Indulgence in excessive spending
People have the habit of shopping with no genuine necessity. This may be contributed to get rid of their stress and boredom. The most favorite hangouts for youngsters and adult alike have been shopping malls. They visit shopping malls to find out the latest arrivals in the market, the latest trend, to while away their time. Just walking through the floors of the shopping malls can be really exciting. Shoppers step inside the mall primarily to do window shopping but they are irresistible to the articles that are beautiful displayed on the stores. And also, the plastic money has cleared their hindrance of not having money at their disposal.
This leads them to overspending and ending with credit. Atleast 20 percent of what they spend is not pushed by requirements but pushed by the urge to spend. Women , more than men, tend to do compulsive shopping.
Shopping malls and retail chains thrive on these spending habits of people. They give promotions and free goodies combinations that people though may not require the product or that much quantity product but still go pick up the product.
