Balanced diet can enhance your brain power

Exams, tuitions homework’s, memorizing, pre board exams are toiling the children. High school children have to have a logical analytical brains meddling with portions. The brain functioning depends on the nutrition we intake.

There foods always affect the mood behavior, brain development. Additives such as fried foods, junk, highly sugared drinks; over eating starch food can deteriorate the mental functions. The kind of fatty acids in junk foods actually replace the good fats in brain. Omega 3 fatty acid is very essential for brain cell structure and improves the cognitive and behavioral functions. Two to four grams of omega 3 is necessary for brain as a daily requirement.

Linseed oil, fish, sardines, seeds, walnuts, cashews, olive oil, egg, leafy vegetables provides this omega3 fatty acid. The brain development is always impaired by deficiency of iron. Iron is available whole grains, ragi, beaten rice and lean meat.

Antioxidants protect the damage of cells in brain which is available in fruits like orange, pomegranate and papaya.
