Reusing home products

It is most of our practice to throw away old things when we get a new one. For various reasons, the old thing may not be useful for us now. When we get a replacement for that, we just throw away or discard the old one. We give little thought on whether we can reuse them or atleast sell them and make money. For instance, when the family becomes bigger, the small dining table that was bought for a couple would be insufficient. We may decide to get a new one to accommodate all the family members. When we get a new one, we tend to trash the old one. We may cut short the length of the legs of the dining table and use it a reception table, or a kitchen table or ironing table or study table for the kids. The least we can do is to sell to people who may need that.

We may find many such things that can be either reused or sold. We would have seen people selling all their unwanted things as garage sales. That may include even outdoor lighting on sale. Depending upon our requirement, we may also choose to buy products from garage sales of others, thus saving money by not buying a new one.
