How will US handle Iran now ?

The Western world has been shouting over the roof for the last few years that the Iranians are working hard to make a nuclear bomb on their own, which Iran continued denying. But last week, the Iranian President publicly announced their nuclear enrichment status and shocked the entire world.
Now the Western world , rather the rest of the world, has very little choices before them, as a nuclear Iran could be dangerous for the entire world.
It would be good if China and Russia also handle the issue in close coordination with US and the Western World. Given the history of Iran, it is very difficult to expect them to cut down on the nuclear programs and work towards a peaceful settlement to the issue.
